Guided tour of the rose fields

Experience the most beautiful roses on a guided tour of the rose fields at Bogense - completely free! Thursdays at 14-15 pm from 10-24 July - and during the Rose Festival on 2-3 August!

The rose fields near Bogense are beautiful - up to 90% of all Danish garden roses are produced here on the sandy soils around Bogense.

As something very special, you can experience a guided tour of the rose fields at Grønløkke Nursery School. More than 2 million roses are grown here every year, divided into more than 800 varieties, most for export, but also for the Danish market.

See the beautiful roses, get the exciting stories about the roses in the fields and get good tips on how to make roses thrive yourself.

Guided tours in the rose fields

On Thursdays, July 10, July 17 and July 24, you can take a free tour of the rose fields with the rose gardener.

Subscribe you for the trip online or just meet at Huggetvej 94, at Grønløkke Planteskole, where the rose gardener will welcome you.

Clothing according to weather and wind - but remember to wear shoes that are good to wear when we walk in the rose field.

Visit the rose fields during the Rose Festival

On Saturday and Sunday 2 and 3 August during the Rose Festival, the gardener is in the rose fields at 10-16, and everyone is welcome to have a talk about roses, where the rose gardener talks about growing roses.

Visit the potted bed and buy the beautiful roses to take home.

On Saturday 2 August, the rose gardener will be in the rose fields at Grønløkke Planteskole, Huggetvej 94, 5400 Bogense.

On Sunday 3 August, the rose gardener will be in the rose fields at Buddes Planteskole, Huggetvej 123, 5400 Bogense.

Both Saturday and Sunday there is a bus from the tourist office at Vestre Havnevej 9B to the rose fields. The bus runs continuously between 10.30-16.00 until everyone has come and gone.
