At the manor house Stensballegaard on the outskirts of Horsens, you will find this golf course, designed by some of the world's most renowned architects. With a beautiful view of Horsens Fjord, and surrounded by the forests at Stensballe, a visually beautiful experience awaits, where attention is paid to detail.

At Stensballegaard, they love guests - and you can easily try to get acquainted with the sport of golf here - without it costing a fortune.

 

The award-winning course

The course at Stensballegaard consists of three loops of nine holes. It rotates weekly between the loops, so there is a new 18-hole course and 9-hole course every week. The American architectural firm Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril created the course with the aim of providing great golfing experiences for players of all levels.

In 2010, the course was named the world's best newly built course by GolfINC.

The golf course also has:

• a 9-hole pay & play course
• a 1.200 m2 putting green in the same quality as the course
• a large driving range with a fantastic view
• Practice and practice areas right next to the clubhouse and driving range

 

Try golf at a cheap price

Stensballegaard's pay & play course is scenic and hilly. Here you can for only 175 kroner get access to the course and have a fun experience with family, friends or colleagues. If you do not have equipment yourself, it can be rented for 75 kroner including balls. Make sure to book equipment in advance by contacting Stensballegaard by email.

If golf is completely new to you, and you would like to have an instructor on the course, then you can buy a golf for everyone package if you are at least four people. The package provides 1 hour instruction by PRO trainer, loan of equipment and access to the par-3 course.

 

Golf and good food

The restaurant is located by the clubhouse Brasserie Stensballegaard, where you can combine the golf trip with a good meal or a cold refreshment on the beautiful terrace. The restaurant offers wonderful dishes for both lunch and dinner. 

 

Stay overnight and enjoy a golf stay

At Stensballegaard you can spend the night in a beautiful old half-timbered house (Skrædderens Hus) only 500 meters from the track. Along with the overnight stay, you can book free play on the golf course and a table in Brasserie Stensballegaard. Alternatively, Stensballegaard has cooperation agreements with the local hotels.
